Mission of the Auxiliary

The Winnebago County Animal Services Auxilary is a non-for profit group of animal concerned citizens that work towards making a difference for the animals while under the care of Winnebago County Animal Services.

About the Auxiliary

The mission of the Winnebago County Animal Services Auxiliary (WCASA) is to support the animals under the care of Winnebago County Animal Services. The mission is completed by:

  1. Assisting in adoption opportunities

  2. Providing funding for animals that need medical assistance

  3. Socialization of the animals

  4. Raising public awareness of responsible ownership

  5. Providing education on the importance of spaying and neutering your pet

WCASA strength comes from aggressive fundraising and volunteerism. Throughout the year, WCASA holds various fundraising events. The Auxiliary provides volunteers to help at adoption events, Pet Smart and Terri's Aqualand. Volunteers typically work shifts in the cat and dog wards. The success of the Auxiliary is a direct reflection of the power and spirit of its volunteers.
