Join Our Foster Team!
Thank you for considering becoming a foster! A solid foster network allows Winnebago County Animal Services to care for hundreds more disadvantaged pets than would otherwise be possible!
aFostering is a wonderful and rewarding way to help animals who require a little extra attention and care before they are able to be adopted into a permanent home- more specifically, nursing moms with kittens too small for adoption, heartworm-positive animals and pets with injuries or other medical conditions.
- Fosters must be a least 18 years old and pass a background check.
- All cats and dogs that live at the foster’s address must be current with a rabies shot and county rabies tag.
- If interested in fostering, please view the New Volunteer Orientation document.
- If you’re ready to apply to become a Foster Volunteer, please complete the Volunteer Application. Once you complete the application, you will be contacted if we need more information.
