Response & Enforcement
Animal Services officers investigate animal related calls
24/7. Services include animal bite reports, animal welfare
and cruelty checks, rabies control, stray animals, and emergency
response for sick and injured stray animals.
Officers also enforce all State of Illinois and local animal
ordinances in Winnebago County helping to keep pets and people
safer.
To contact an officer during non customer service hours, please
call (815)319-4100 and follow the voicemail prompts, leaving your
name, address, phone number and a brief message. The officer
will return your call, as promptly as they can as they may be
responding to another call for service. Please be aware that
the officers will be calling back from a restricted phone
number.
